Lot #068A

Edgardo Mannucci, Mid-Century Abstract Wall Sculpture in Mixed-Metal

Edgardo Mannucci (Italian 1904-1986)
Patinated, mixed-metal abstract wall sculpture.
Unsigned.
Likely belongs to his “Opera” series of wall sculptures, circa 1950s.

Mannucci’s sculpture of the time bears significant resemblance to his concurrent painting style; a combination free-flowing, swirling and overlapping (often continuous) line breaking up richly textured and colored planes.
